ICC Mens T20 World Cup live updates
The ICC Mens T20 World Cup comprises 16 teams -- the top 10 teams are taken as per the ranking and six other teams are selected through the T20 World Cup Qualifier. The matches are all played as Twenty20 Internationals.
The T20 World Cup is usually held every two years but the Covid-19 pandemic has forced the schedules to shift. The T20 World Cup 2021 was earlier supposed to be hosted by India but was relocated to UAE and Oman due to pandemic concerns in India.
So far, six T20 WC tournaments have been played and West Indies has won the tournament on multiple occasions.
India won the first T20 World Cup which was held in 2007 in South Africa.
