Sudharsan, The Youngster Debutant

 

The opening match of the TNPL 2021 was played between Lyca Kovai Kings and Salem Spartans.  Batting first, Lyca Kovai Kings reached 168 for 5 in 18 overs. Debutant Bhardwaj Sai Sudharsan made a sparkling 43-ball 87 for the Lyca Kovai Kings that includes 8 fours and 5 sixes , before rain played spoilsport at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Monday. Sudharsan made a partnership with opening batsman Kavin Ravi, who made 33 runs in 41 deliveries, putting on a stand of 121 runs for the second wicket. V Ganga Sridhar Raju set an early tone in proceedings with a 20-ball 33. Sudharsan smashed 26 run of 10 deliveries he played of the opponent leg spinner M Ashwin. Sudharsan in the end took everyone heart by his wonderful batting performance .

Sudharsan said that "At the start I had butterflies in my stomach and there was slight pressure since it was my debut game. It was a new experience but then it went the right way. I did not plan anything big, I went with the flow. I didn’t expect it to go this well”.

Pakistan appoint new coaches before World cup T20 2021

 Former Australia Test opener Matthew Hayden and ex-South Africa pacer Vernon Philander has been appointed as coaches of the Pakistan team for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in the UAE, the board announced on Monday. With former Pakistan captains Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis resigning from their respective posts of head coach and bowling coach a week ago, PCB were in immediate need of refurbishing their support staff especially before a world event.
