IPL 2021 2nd PHASE

 

The phase 2 of 14th edition of IPL is going to  start around  19 September 2021 in UAE. BCCI has already started its preparations to host the remaining 31 matches. All the matches will be completed in a window of 25 days. The matches are going to be played in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai just like the last year IPL. The franchises have already started exploring for the logistic challenges talk with UAE hotels. The BCCI decided to conduct these matches in 10 double headers, 7 single headers and 4 playoffs .

 

The race for the orange cap and purple cap will start off again where we will see great innings by batsman and great bowling performances. Shikhar Dhawan leads the top scorer list by scoring 380 runs in 8 innings with an average of 54.28 simultaneously Harshal Patel leads the highest wicket taker list by taking 17 wickets in just 7 games. 

AVAILABILITY OF FOREIGN PLAYERS AN ISSUE FOR BCCI?

 BCCI is not sure about the availability of the foreign players. England already denied because they agreed to visit Bangladesh and Pakistan. Australia Will Bangladesh and West Indies players will play CPL.  Afghanistan has scheduled a bilateral series around or during the IPL.

IPL 2021 Points table and other Details

  The phase 2 of 14 th  edition of IPL is going to  start on 19 September 2021 and finals will be played on 15 th October in UAE. IPL 2021 was kicked off on April 9 was slated to end on May 30 but the rise in COVID-19 cases in the bio-bubbles forced the tournament to be called off on May 4. Pakistan appoint new coaches before World cup T20 2021

 Former Australia Test opener Matthew Hayden and ex-South Africa pacer Vernon Philander has been appointed as coaches of the Pakistan team for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in the UAE, the board announced on Monday. With former Pakistan captains Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis resigning from their respective posts of head coach and bowling coach a week ago, PCB were in immediate need of refurbishing their support staff especially before a world event.
